Mo Dadkhah is entering his 13th year as an attorney and real estate broker. When he graduated law school in 2009, job offers were scarce and low paying. He decided that although risky, he would open his own law firm right out of law school. Without prior experience, Dadkhah began growing his business by networking, covering court cases for other attorneys for only $50 an appearance. He took the real estate broker’s exam immediately after starting his law firm in order to make ends meet. He attributes his continued success to the notion that hard work eventually pays off if you work hard consistently.
In 2014, he opened Main Street Real Estate Group with the belief that agents lacked the one-on-one training required to build a successful real estate business. Main Street has since grown to nearly 70 individuals.
As the real estate market has shifted dramatically during and post Covid, Dadkhah has seen agents taking the strong market for granted and forgetting to work on their business. “Realtors all too often get stuck in the rut of working IN their business, instead of ON their business. They feel busy running around to showings, inspections and walk-throughs, but are not working on future business.” Dadkhah says that going back to true one-on-one coaching and staying on top of your goals weekly is what helps agents succeed in growing their business.
Dadkhah has earned his fair share of accolades. He has been a Chicago Agent top producer for the last five years and earned recognition as a Power Player by Chicago Scene magazine. Main Street was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies. He has been recognized as one of the top 50 attorneys by The Top 100 Magazine. He was also most recently on a Reality TV show on Motortrend TV called The Drive Within that showcased Dadkhah’s auto-racing career outside of real estate.
