Judy Gibbons, Broker

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

Following a successful career in the fashion industry in New York City, Judy Gibbons moved back home to Chicago. “My father was an entrepreneur and always told me I could be or do anything I wanted in this world,” she says. “I happened to believe him.” A broker with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, she has been in the industry 17 years and is convinced that owning real estate creates wealth. “I walk the walk and talk the talk,” she says. As an owner of rental properties and a successful Airbnb host, Gibbons’ goals include creating a legacy for her family.

Growing up in Barrington, Gibbons specializes in selling luxury houses, horse properties and second homes in the northwest suburbs, Chicago and Harbor Country in Michigan. “Social media has been great to be able to keep in touch, especially during COVID,” she says. With 30,000 followers across multiple platforms, she believes that everything she does is worth celebrating, hence her adopted tagline “#celebrateeverything.”

Known for her expert guidance, Gibbons’ style is straightforward. “I have experience and first-hand knowledge. I care for my clients, with my concierge service for every customer at any price, which is a winning combination,” she says. With determination, energy and drive, she treats other people with respect because she believes in karma. “I’ve made some of my best friends and get so much joy from helping people with their real estate needs,” she adds. “We all know that relationships make the world go around.”

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty named Gibbons a Platinum award winner in 2021. She ranked in the top 50 company wide. She is a past president of Women’s Council of Realtors Chicago, where she was named the 2019 Member of the Year. Also a member of the National Association of Realtors, she proudly served as co-chairwoman for their sales awards at the Field Museum this year and leads a work group for the Leading Edge Advisory Board for NAR. She belongs to the Service Club of Chicago, a volunteer women’s charitable organization that began in 1890. “I love to surround myself with some of the smartest women in Chicago,” she says.
