A seasoned lender with 17 years of industry experience, Jennifer Sobocienski conducts business with confidence. “When I issue our premier buyer letter, I know my client’s loan is solid and will go smoothly through the approval process,” says Sobocienski, a senior mortgage consultant at Wintrust Mortgage. “I’m able to anticipate potential obstacles and address them in advance of signing a contract.”
Licensed in all 50 states, Sobocienski offers a range of products including down payment assistance, conventional, jumbo, construction, portfolio, FHA, VA, USDA and no closing cost loans. “I love helping people whether it be with guiding them through buying their first home, making decisions on moving or saving people money when they refinance,” she says, noting how she’s able to ensure a smooth process through constant communication with not only her clients but also with Realtors, attorneys and financial planners as well.
A former CPA for Ernst & Young before transitioning into recruiting roles at Arthur Andersen and ultimately Citadel, Sobocienski harnesses her background to provide creative solutions for her clients’ mortgage needs. “My business and accounting careers definitely give me a competitive edge over a lot of loan officers,” she says.
Ranked by the Scotsman Guide as a Top Loan Originator in 2021 and 2022, Sobocienski attributes her success to her organizational skills, attention to detail and thorough knowledge of lending guidelines. Bolstered by the aid of a top-notch processor and a loan-officer assistant, Sobocienski has built a business based on referrals and repeat clients.
Outside of work, Sobocienski is a chairwoman for Barrington Giving Day, an organization that hosts seasonal events benefiting low-income families within the Barrington School District. When she’s not volunteering, she can be found cheering on her kids from field sidelines and playing golf.
