Growing up in Mount Greenwood, Jennifer Hennessy moved to the Burr Ridge-Willow Springs area 22 years ago. She and her family still call the area home. A Realtor with d’aprile properties, she also runs a crafting business called The Henn House out of her home, but it takes a backseat to her real estate career. “This past year, I’ve gotten back into real estate full-time,” she says. “I returned stronger and more confident and am exceeding all the goals I set for myself.”
Highly visible on social media, Hennessy covers the western suburbs, Burr Ridge, Willow Springs, Darien, Hickory Hills and the South Side of Chicago, including Mount Greenwood and Beverly. “I keep in touch with everyone in my network either in person, with a phone call, text or through social media,” she says. “Ninety-nine percent of my business originates from my network.” Described as someone who keeps her clients’ best interests at heart, she admits that sometimes means not getting the deal done. “I don’t ever want my clients to jump into something that won’t work for them in the long run,” she says. “I am their agent and biggest advocate.”
Remaining positive and open-minded, Hennessy is honest about the market conditions with her clients, explaining the entire process, including all the costs involved. “This is such a stressful and emotional process for people that I really try to take the worry out of it and give my clients a little piece of mind,” she adds.
Serving as a commissioner for Pleasant Dale Park District and a chairwoman on the Willow Springs Parks and Recreation Commission, Hennessy spent over 12 years volunteering with the parent-teacher association at her girls’ school, including two years as president, and also heading several committees. “I am proud of the example I am setting for my three daughters,” she says. “I am showing them that even though life and circumstances change, hard work and dedication pay off, and we keep moving forward.”
