Christopher McAllister, Managing Broker

Baird & Warner

Real estate is the perfect combination of two of Christopher McAllister’s greatest loves: being self-employed and helping others reach the ultimate goal of the American Dream. Always an entrepreneur, McAllister has experience in residential sales (including new construction), commercial sales, flipping properties and managing investment properties. “I’ve done it all myself to be able to show my clients the knowledge they need,” he says.

While McAllister works with all types of clients, he specializes in helping people relocate from the city to the suburbs (and vice versa). “I am an agent who never had boundaries,” he says. “I grew up in Chicago and moved west to the suburbs, so my personal experiences helps relocate people to the right neighborhood feel.”

Over the years, McAllister has gained the trust of many Chicago and suburban-based clients. “My clients know from day one that we are in this together for a successful transaction,” he says. “I also pay attention to the investment and I am very honest with my clients. If I feel they are overpaying, I will tell them. If I feel it’s a great investment, I will explain why and show them the proof.”

When he was first starting out, McAllister was named Rookie of the Year by the Oak Park Board of Realtors and has since amassed many more awards based on units, volume and sales numbers from the Chicago Association of Realtors and the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors.

“I think the value of hiring a Realtor who has the knowledge is so important, and the public is starting to see that again,” McAllister says. “Knowledge is power for the client and the realtor.”

Within the past year, McAllister was able to transition from a management position back to his true passion in sales. He says the switch has allowed him to become a more-present father to his four children while still offering exceptional service by being more present for his clients as well. “Life isn’t about sales; it’s about being passionate about your career and having a happy life with family,” he says.
