Excellent communication skills are instrumental in Alicia Parker’s success in real estate. “Open communication, including actively listening, allows my clients to trust me and understand how hard I’m working for them,” she says. “I present and discuss options to help my clients make decisions that are best for their unique situations rather than just telling them what they should do.” She believes being able to communicate market conditions and expectations to her clients is key but being in touch with other agents to allow smooth transactions and learn about upcoming listings is also vital.

A Chicago native, Parker taught elementary school in the western suburbs before becoming a Realtor with d’aprile properties. “I took the compassion, enthusiasm, organization and dedication I used with students and applied it to real estate,” she says. “People trusted me with their children and now they would trust me to assist them with some of the most-important transactions in their lives.” She and her husband raised two daughters in Lombard, and she is now a pricing strategy advisor and home staging consultant covering Chicagoland with a focus on Glen Ellyn, Lombard and Elmhurst.

Parker is a member of National Association of Realtors, Mainstreet Organization of Realtors and Lombard Chamber of Commerce. Her office, d’aprile properties, awarded her the Key Award in 2018 and the Silver Key Award in 2021.Homesnap presented her with the Most Prominent Agent award in April 2021; Fastest Growing Agent award in September 2021; and Top 25% award in 2022. “My professional passion is driven by an innate desire to coach and mentor fellow agents, sharing experiences that benefit the company and individuals alike,” she says. “I believe that lifelong coaching and learning is essential for continuity, consistency and success in any dedicated agent’s career.”

When not working, Parker enjoys relaxing with her family at their lake house, where she has visited since childhood. She also loves taking vacations to islands and coastal towns. “This fosters my desire to help clients find that special second home or investment property,” she says.
