Michael Bauknecht, Realtor and Broker Associate

Coldwell Banker Realty

Michael Bauknecht is an award-winning broker with two decades of experience and an unwaveringly positive attitude. As a Realtor and broker associate with Coldwell Banker in Lincoln Park, Bauknecht serves the Greater Chicago area, forging connections with his clients to help them achieve their dreams. “We come together to create a plan tailored to their specific needs and time frame,” he explains.

Bauknecht launched his career with Coldwell Banker in 2000. Afterward, he was intensely recruited, completing several successful stints with other companies before recently rejoining the Coldwell brand. “In the past 20 years, I have grown with seven different brokerages, from corporate to boutique,” he says, noting that he has navigated the industry through several economic downturns and peaks that provided him with invaluable knowledge and experience in market shifts. Along with the fact that he’s had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of companies as well as innovative technology programs, Bauknecht emphasizes that it’s all about the relationships: “The people I have been able to learn from have been, and continue to be, my greatest asset.”

Since winning Coldwell Banker’s Rookie of the Year award for the Lakeview office in 2001, Bauknecht has received recognition as a top producer from the Chicago Association of Realtors. Though he’s a native Chicagoan who loves the city, his expertise goes well beyond Chicagoland. He’s built his brand on local exposure with a global reach.

Bauknecht is a Certified International Property Specialist and has represented 144 global properties since 2009. Bauknecht also served as an acting committee board member at the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Global Real Estate and Emerging Markets Forum.

Finally, Bauknecht emphasizes his strong commitment to the National Association of Realtors’ Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, which states, “Under all is the land. Upon its wise utilization and widely allocated ownership depend the survival and growth of free institutions and of our civilization.”
