Jay Wilewski, Global Real Estate Advisor

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

Jay Wilewski offers sellers something many other agents do not: an incredibly attentive and dedicated approach to showings. He arrives early before each showing to turn on lights, start the background music and light candles. “It’s crucial for a potential buyer to feel comfortable the moment they walk in the house,” he says. “I really do love my job and am willing to go above and beyond for my clients.”

Growing up in Barrington, Wilewski was always fascinated with luxury homes and unique architecture. But his passion for real estate blossomed while working as a leasing consultant in the luxurious Gold Coast neighborhood. “The customer interaction and the ability to control my own destiny were exciting,” he recalls. “That was the steppingstone for my long-term goal of owning my own business.”

This past March and April, Wilewski pushed hard to keep deals alive and earn new business in spite of a difficult market and pandemic. Despite the odds, this year has been his best yet. “It took a tremendous effort on my part, but staying positive was the key to my success,” he says. In fact, one of his recent accomplishments came after he decided to take on a listing that had been on the market for years with several different agents. Wilewski’s marketing plan, professional photography and extensive knowledge made all the difference. His client was blown away at the number of new showings, and he was able to sell the property in April.

Wilewski earned the accolade of having Chicago Agent magazine’s third-most-popular Agent Snapshot profile last year. He is also a member of the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors. No matter the time of day, clients know they can count on Wilewski to answer a call and provide objective consulting throughout the transaction process. “Every client is different, but my approach is always the same — professional, honest and precise,” he says. “I create a plan and stick to it.”
