Suren Sampat, Senior Vice President of Residential Lending

Lina Sampat, Vice President of Residential Lending

Excellence in residential lending runs in the family with father-and-daughter pair Suren and Lina Sampat. In a career spanning three decades, the elder Sampat has distinguished himself as one of the country’s top-producing mortgage originators. And since becoming a loan officer in 2016, Lina has already joined her father among the top 1% of originators nationwide.

Suren has originated approximately $4 billion in home financing and more than 18,000 loans. He has also earned countless accolades from numerous industry publications. Based at Draper and Kramer Mortgage’s Naperville branch, he serves hundreds of borrowers each year in Chicagoland and around the country. “I love the problem-solving aspect of this job,” he says. “My clients all come from different backgrounds with different scenarios and situations. I enjoy helping them navigate the process.”

Prior to lending, Lina spent 12 years as a business analyst and consultant for several major consulting firms and top investment banks. She joined Draper and Kramer Mortgage’s downtown Chicago branch four years ago and quickly became a prolific originator and the company’s top female loan officer. Recently, she appeared on Mortgage Executive Magazine’s Top 1% Mortgage Originators in America list and Scotsman Guide’s Top Women Originators list.

One of Lina’s biggest contributions to the venture has been expanding their business beyond Chicagoland. “I’m licensed in many states, and I’ve been steadily growing our business on a national level,” she says. “That includes helping clients when they move out of state or purchase second homes or investment properties in other parts of the country.”

As Suren enters the concluding years of his career, his daughter is ready to continue his impressive legacy. “My dad has helped multiple generations achieve the dream of homeownership,” says Lina. “I’m proud to be carrying on that work for the next generations. His dream has now become my dream, and I want to be just like my dad.”
