Dream Town Realty
As a homeowner and investor, Hadley Rue witnessed agents who accepted the status quo and lacked heart and drive. “That wasn’t good enough,” says Rue, a real estate broker with Dream Town Realty. “I ask for more and always give my all.” He has a tenacity for the business, and as a broker and homebuyer himself, understands what it takes to be successful.
Previously, Rue owned a credit card processing company and spent a decade overseeing the assets of a private foundation and management company. But real estate, he discovered, is what fuels his entrepreneurial spirit. “It allows me to keep pushing my limits,” he says.
Named a 2017 Top Producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors and Dream Town Realty, he has also earned the Five Star Professional award each of the last three years. “In this business, you have to have follow-up and attention to detail,” he says. “Together, these attributes are a recipe for success.”
Rue works with all categories of clients, helping buyers find the best option for them, whether it’s a primary residence or an investment property. “A good agent doesn’t limit themselves and will use all the resources available to assist clients in finding the best match,” he says. “I’ve been working with first-time homebuyers all the way up to those seeking luxury properties.” Each experience, he says, is unique and rewarding.
“With the way the market changes day-to-day, it’s important that the brokerage you work for is cutting edge and provides an agent with the resources needed to best represent buyers and sellers,” he says.
He has grown his business by more than 50 percent annually in sales, since starting out four years ago, and he is on target to reach that goal again in 2018. “I’m my own biggest competitor and I set my sights high,” he says. “To be successful, you have to first and foremost invest in yourself.”
Being successful in business has allowed him to give back to the community. “I am a proud supporter and board member of various charitable organizations in the Chicago area,” he says. “Contributing to social causes in any way I can gives my professional life all the more meaning.”
