Steven Koleno didn’t know his entire life would change when he purchased a rental property with a friend back in 2005. But this passion project ignited an interest that would send him from his job as an engineer in the healthcare industry to become a full-time real estate agent. Now, with 11 years in real estate under his belt, Koleno is the managing broker at Worth Clark Realty and president and owner of The Koleno Group, specializing in 12 counties within the Chicagoland Metropolitan area.
Koleno has a master’s degree in management and a real estate license in three states. He also has extensive experience in the single-family rental sector from past positions including serving as vice president of American Homes 4 Rent and director of brokerage services for Blackstone’s Invitation Homes division.
It’s no exaggeration to say that 2016 was a stellar year for Koleno. Breaking records for both residential leasing units and total leasing volume, earning recognition from the Chicago Association of Realtors as a Top Producing Rental Achiever with 989 Units in a single year, and earning a ranking among the top 1 percent of the Chicago Association of Realtors are just a few of his recent achievements.
In 2016, Koleno also became managing/primary broker for Invitation Homes, a division of Blackstone in Illinois and Minnesota. “I saw this opportunity as a great way to advance my real estate experience and career,” he says.
In February of 2017, he moved into his current position as managing broker for Worth Clark Realty’s newest expansion market in Chicago. Worth Clark Realty, a boutique real estate firm, is one of the fastest growing companies in America, according to rankings compiled by Inc Magazine.
