Emma Butler

Sr. Mortgage Loan Officer, NMLS #223759
LeaderOne Financial

A mortgage professional since 2006, Emma Butler has been putting up some impressive numbers lately. After setting a goal to grow her purchase business to 70 percent, Butler outperformed even her own expectations and is currently sitting at 90 percent purchase transactions, even in the midst of transferring to a new company, LeaderOne Financial.

It’s the type of effort that any mortgage loan officer would be proud of, but Butler says that the numbers only tell part of the story. She focuses on the strong relationships she forms with her clients and partners. “My purpose is to educate and add value, understand what is important to them which in turn allows me to help put them in the best position for success,” she says. Another of her key strengths is her problem-solving ability, which she owes to her education and past experience in computer science: “It’s allowed me to make difficult financing scenarios a possibility.”

At age 23, Butler moved to Chicago from Ireland, so she understands and can relate to clients who feel the step to homeownership can be an overwhelming one. “It’s my passion for this profession that people see and appreciate, and ultimately it helps build trust and allows me to have amazing clients and friends for life.”

Butler approaches her work with a down-to-earth attitude, and she proudly tells us that her extensive referral network is her biggest accomplishment to date. “The fact that my clients and business partners trust enough in me and that they recognize my dedication, integrity and service by referring me to their family and friends is a privilege,” she says. “The last year has been the best one yet personally and professionally, and I’m looking forward to the future.”

In addition to spending time with family and friends, Butler loves entertaining, discovering new restaurants and volunteering with PAWS and the Anti-Cruelty Society in her spare time. Butler has also been a Five Star Mortgage Professional award winner every year since 2011.
