Jeanine McShea
Senior Broker Associate
The McShea Group – @properties
“My skill set gives me an edge,” Jeanine McShea says. “The expertise acquired assisting and training hundreds of agents throughout my career – teaching sales skills, pricing strategy, and negotiation tactics – gives me that much more experience.” With more than 25 years of experience, McShea is known for her expertise, and has a reputation as a go-to real estate expert. McShea now happily works with daughter Erin as The McShea Group. Together they serve a loyal clientele ranging from first-time buyers to empty-nesters. In servicing their customers, the McShea Group’s model is to support clients at all phases of life’s journey, assisting with every real estate need along the way.
McShea earned her license at the encouragement of her husband John. She rose through the ranks and became a revered managing broker. Her management role allowed her to train colleagues to hone their sales, pricing, communication, and negotiation skills. “I found it wonderfully rewarding to mentor Realtors from the time they were hired until they became multimillion-dollar producers,” McShea says. Seeing an opportunity to work with her daughter, she decided to return to full-service sales. “I make certain the process stays on track and keep all parties updated on what’s happening, why it’s happening and what to expect next.”
Her years of experience on both the management and sales fronts have equipped McShea with unparalleled problem-solving skills that she taps to support both buyers and sellers. She manages expectations accordingly to avoid surprises, and works with other agents to identify homes going to market and clients who may be interested in her listings. “I make certain the process stays on track, and I keep all parties updated on what’s happening.”
Named Alumna of the Year at Winona State University, McShea draws inspiration from her family and friends. She serves on the board of the Danny Did Foundation, which works to prevent epileptic deaths, a cause particularly close to her heart because two of her children contend with the illness. She is also actively involved with the Chicago Association of Realtors, including serving on its grievance and education committees. She is the most proud of her three adult children, Erin, Justin, and Kristin, who all live in Chicago.
McShea is a diehard Chicago Blackhawks fan and aspiring watercolor artist. “I’ve learned so much from my experiences and the people I’ve shared them with over the years,” she says. “I’m privileged to be a Realtor, and my goal is to provide the best counsel I can to make the real estate experience highly enjoyable for my clients.”
