Broker/Owner Gary Jacklin’s RE/MAX Action is one of the most productive real estate offices in the country.

As owner since 1996, Jacklin has led his renowned brokerage to the position of the No. 1 most productive RE/MAX office in Illinois; before taking the helm, he had nearly a decade of successfully listing and selling real estate under his belt. Today, Jacklin has focused his attention on leadership. “I am most proud to be a critical part of the continued growth and success of our agents,” he says, revealing the mindset that earned him RE/MAX’s Broker/Owner of the Year award and spots in both the company’s Platinum Club and Hall of Fame.

To elevate his team, Jacklin tempers the high expectations he sets for his agents with the power of technology. “I’ve always had a gift for leveraging technology,” the broker says. He goes on to explain that the office’s tech-driven systems (and its website, voted Most Visited RE/MAX Website in Northern Illinois) are a means to maximize client servicing while diminishing the amount of time it takes an agent to satisfy and maintain those relationships. “Time is our most valuable commodity,” he says. “It is what I strive to give back to our sales associates.”

The efforts Jacklin has made in helping his team assimilate new technologies into its workflows have paid off, as he now collectively describes his diverse roster of agents as “technology leaders.” He says: “Our agents utilize the latest in Internet and mobile marketing, and our cutting-edge systems and tech-savvy support staff help free up their schedules so they may focus on the four most dollar productive activities: listings, selling, negotiating, and prospecting.”

Apart from advocating for more technology adoption in the industry, Jacklin takes a hands-on approach to support his agents. “I am always available to help our associates any way I can.” His motto, “there are no problems – only challenges and solutions,” sums up his method.

In the 20 years since taking the lead at RE/MAX Action, Jacklin has been able to step out of sales and focus full time on leadership, and the result has been strong, consistent growth. When he became the office’s managing broker/owner in 1996, there were 11 agents on staff. Today, RE/MAX Action employs more than 113. 

Out of the office, Jacklin is a family man, spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He is also an avid musician – the remnants of a past career. He enjoys performing locally when he can.
