Debora McKay is a superstar among agents in Chicagoland’s western suburbs, and her long list of accomplishments makes that clear. McKay has also placed among the top 20 Chicagoland Realtors each of those years. She holds membership in Coldwell Banker’s President’s Premier Club, an honor reserved for its top 1 percent of producers in the U.S., and is a member of its International President’s Premier Club. A recent publication by the Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends has recognized and placed McKay as No. 135 in transactions and No. 222 in sales volume in the entire nation. Her extensive knowledge of both current and past Kane County residential property inventory makes her a valuable source of information for sellers and buyers.

McKay’s background in the hospitality industry prepared her for the fast pace of real estate. She also jokes that growing up in a large family taught her the art of negotiation, but seriously notes how that experience equipped her to mediate transactions for her clients. “I’m laid back, but aggressive when it comes to getting the job done as best I can,” she says. “I want the best for my clients, and my knowledge of the market and years of experience allow me to help them meet the goals they set for themselves.”

McKay leverages nearly two decades of experience to provide her clients with insights on market trends, pricing, and neighborhoods. In addition to primary residences, her specialties include vacation land and development/investment properties. She is also well versed in historic and luxury homes. McKay holds multiple designations: Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified Distressed Property Expert, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, Certified Relocation Specialist and Certified Residential Specialist.

McKay’s success has inspired her son-in-law and two daughters to jump into real estate and follow in her footprints. “I may have inspired their professional pursuits, but they inspire, motivate, and encourage me each and every day,” she says. McKay is an avid supporter of charitable causes like Ronald McDonald House Charities and American Heart Association. She also believes in patronizing local businesses that are at the heart of her community. “I believe people see how much I love what I do, and that makes them happy to work with me, but I’m even happier to work with them.”
