Beth Repta
Senior Broker
@properties
After years analyzing real estate for Walgreens to advise the corporation when and where to establish stores, Beth Repta decided to leverage her research skills, love of meeting people, and desire to chart her own path to pursue a career in residential real estate. Her experience helping drive the Fortune 500 company’s decisionmaking plays a significant role in the expert counsel she offers clients, and her impressive list of honors demonstrates her acumen for doing so.
Last year, @properties recognized her with its Road to Rolex award, and named her the No. 1 individual agent in its Barrington office. The Chicago Association of Realtors has also distinguished her for her high sales volume, and the Cary Grove Chamber of Commerce named her a 2015 Emerging Leader. As she explains, “Getting that phone call after a successful negotiation to say my client either got the home or sold it for the best possible return makes me feel on top of the world, and I wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything.”
Repta grew up in Chicago’s northern suburbs, and specializes in Lake, McHenry, and northwest Cook Counties, as well as Chicago’s North Side. She works with a myriad of clients, including first-time buyers, sellers, and investors. “I’m always thinking about new ideas to improve my clients’ experience and how I serve them,” Repta says. “My work ethic means I’m never ‘off the clock,’ because I’m ready, willing, and able to discuss real estate with anyone I meet.” Repta boasts a 98 percent list-to-sale price, thanks to her passion, market analysis, and home pricing skills.
Her willingness to work hard is also why Repta can enjoy such a successful career while raising two small children, Ava and Mason. “I’ve learned there is no such thing as a work-life balance; it’s more of a work-life blend,” she explains. “My children inspire me to think big, and that’s important, because it reinforces the confidence every Realtor needs to be a success,” Repta says. “I always want to show them they can do anything if they’re hardworking and never set limits on what they can achieve. I tell them any roadblocks they encounter are just small bumps in the road they should look past as they keep reaching for the stars.”
Repta is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors, and she has earned designations as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative and Certified Negotiation Expert. In addition, she serves on the Cary Grove Chamber of Commerce board as treasurer, and is a member of the Cary Grove Economic Development Task Force. Community involvement is also important to her and her family, which is why they sponsor the Cary Main Street Festival and Denise Marie Flaherty Memorial Foundation’s annual golf event for families struggling with cancer. “Being a Realtor is about so much more than transacting houses,” she says. “It’s about making a lasting difference where we live and work, and that’s how we truly touch the community and the people in it.”
