Berkshire Hathaway Koenig Rubloff Home Services
A real estate expert for 20 years, Monique Pieron-Strong’s previous roles at Walt Disney World and Pan American Airlines prepared her to understand what it means to put clients first. Her lifelong fascination with the real estate industry coupled with her love for marketing, finance and architecture prompted her to pursue a profession in the field. She opted to apply her international business and marketing degree first as a commercial property broker and ultimately as a residential broker to satisfy her own passion and to help others achieve their real estate goals.
Pieron-Strong is particularly skilled in the sale of new construction and conversion condominiums as well as single-family homes. In fact, one of her first positions was with a large developer that specialized in condominiums. “I was also purchasing my own investment property at that time and renovating properties throughout the city, so I understood construction standards, finishes and floor plan functionality quite well,” she adds. Her insights allowed her to sell based on floor plans as well as to help purchasers modify their home’s design to best meet their lifestyle demands.
Her clients include everyone from first-time buyers to corporate CEOs, but her approach is the same for all. “I work diligently to assess market value so that we can make certain not to leave any money on the table!” she explains. And when it comes to those who want to sell, Pieron-Strong points out, “I create results-oriented marketing plans and work with my marketing team to create quality print and Web advertising.” She also strives to remain apprised of Chicago’s ever-changing real estate market conditions, which enables her to identify potential problems before they create long-term complications. This kind of knowledge has proven extremely rewarding for her sellers as Pieron-Strong boasts the highest price per square foot for sales in multiple buildings across the city and helped achieve new price points in East Lincoln Park during the economic recession.
“I feel honored when someone entrusts me to help them with buying or selling a home,” says this member of the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Top 1% of Realtors, an honor she has held since 1995. “I’ve personally sold over $400,000,000 in real estate and am a member of Berkshire Hathaway’s Chairman’s Circle, but that’s because I have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and I really enjoy what I do.” Crediting her family and friends as her inspiration, Pieron-Strong also draws motivation from her volunteerism with St. Clement Church and the Lincoln Park Community Shelter. “I live and breathe real estate, so it’s more than a job; it’s part of me.”
