Gina Guarino
Listing and Sales Specialist
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
For Gina Guarino, life in real estate seemed destined. Growing up the daughter of a top real estate expert, she first entered the industry as a part-time secretary at her mother’s brokerage when she was 16. When her mother launched her own firm one year later, Guarino balanced nursing studies with her job as her mother’s client care coordinator and administrative assistant. She earned her license at age 21 and sold her first home within that same week, foreshadowing the success she enjoys today as a top producer in the Chicago metropolitan area market.
Although she took somewhat of a sabbatical from a full-time role in the industry when she started her family nearly two decades ago, Guarino decided to leverage the skills her mother taught her to re-enter real estate once her three sons were older. “Within a few short years, I had become one of the top producers in my company by working diligently from home,” she says. The recession that hit the industry in 2008 led her to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage where her sister worked as a sales trainer. Again relying on her mother’s best practices, Guarino started over in her career, this time in her first experience in a corporate environment in which she surpassed her own expectations.
“I believe I was destined to be associated with Coldwell Banker from day one,” says the company’s Number 1 agent in Northwest Indiana. Not only are she and her sister associated with the firm, but their mother is, as well, affording them the opportunity to truly make real estate a family affair. Guarino also ranks Number 9 out of 37,346 agents for units sold under NRT, Coldwell Banker’s parent company. This ranking distinction places her among the top 1% of Coldwell Banker independent sales associates nationwide. Her additional accolades are too numerous to list, but include membership in her company’s President’s Club, a designation in its International President’s Premier, Realtor.com’s Marketing Award of Excellence and honor as “The Best of the Region 2015” in The Times of Northwest Indiana.
An ongoing student of best practices and market trends, Guarino counts her clients as family and creates lasting bonds with them. “My top priority is to ensure that they achieve the results they desire as quickly and efficiently as possible, so I strive to make certain that they’re informed of the transaction from start to finish,” she says.
