No longer reserved for cars alone, garage doors have found a new role in residential properties. You can find garage-style doors within the home, functioning as retractable room dividers, as well as exterior walls that allow homeowners to bring the outdoors inside and increase natural light. The doors are made of insulated and low-e glass to keep out sun and cold. While this trend is not necessarily new, garage-door manufacturers, such as Entrematic and Clopay, of Mason, Ohio, told The Wall Street Journal they are now seeing wider demand.
