Short sales aren’t just a profession for Bert Gor. His ability to help navigate people through a properly executed short sale is his passion.

Gor has been able to close many short sales in some of the most daunting situations. His successful negotiations have even included forgiven deficiencies in excess of $1 million. Today, as president of his RE/MAX-affiliated company The Short Sale Group, Inc., Gor has successfully closed hundreds of short sales in Northern Illinois and is among the top-ranked short sale agents in the Midwest. Over the years, Gor has been recognized by many local brokers who now regularly refer him to their own clients who need short sales, and many have even used Gor when they were in need of a short sale.

Though his clients are often dealing with what seem like hopeless situations, Gor never gives up. He educates clients, showing them the pros and cons of their situation and, when a short sale is a viable and feasible option, helps them achieve their goals any way he can. In the end, they’re always happy with Gor’s service and attention to detail.

“I’ve had several homeowners tell me that by leading them in an alternative direction, I’ve opened up a better future for their families,” he says.

When he is not busy working, Gor is happiest spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
