Almost 25 years ago, Khalil “Kal” Ramadan traded a career in the world of nightclubs and entertainment for a future in residential mortgage lending. He was looking for more consistency in his work life, and with the vast network he had built during his years in hospitality, he knew he could succeed on his new path, even though it was different from what he had done before. “I took the most out of learning from mistakes over the years,” Ramadan recalls. “Home lending is like a puzzle; the more you have been through, the easier it becomes to put together.”
Praised for his knowledge, availability and caring nature, Ramadan focuses on educating based on his experience rather than simply selling loan products. He begins his relationships with clients by reviewing their current finances, setting expectations and helping borrowers understand market conditions. As a result of his education-first approach and strong customer-service skills, he has become known by borrowers for providing honest guidance and making the process feel easy for them. “I give real advice, whether positive or negative,” he insists.
The four-time recipient of Chase’s National Achiever award serves the Canton area (while also offering loans throughout the country) and specializes in preapprovals, conventional mortgages, FHA mortgages, VA mortgages, income derived from assets programs Philanthropy lending, first-time homebuyers and private clients. He also handles more complex scenarios, such as lending to self-employed clients, low-to-moderate-income lending programs and lending to borrowers with limited credit history. A team player, he enjoys collaborating with his Chase colleagues and has leadership experience in both the mortgage business and the restaurant/nightclub business.
When he isn’t helping borrowers become homeowners, Ramadan is active in volunteer and philanthropic efforts with the charity Helping Handzz. He is fluent in Arabic.
