Leading a team of family members and associates where everyone participates and has a role helps Margie and Lanny Brooks of Baird & Warner best serve buyers and sellers in Highland Park, along with the rest of the North Shore area.

“Real estate has always been my passion,” Margie says. Even during a pandemic, the Brooks team was able to maintain a safe and efficient business. Of the four lakefront properties that sold in Highland Park in 2020, the couple listed or sold three of them. Throughout her career, Margie has been honored often by the industry. She’s been named Agent MVP by her colleagues, and for the past 25 years she has ranked in the top 1% of Realtors in sales by both the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors and Baird & Warner.

A lifelong resident of Highland Park, Margie has sold real estate in the area for 27 years and knows firsthand about the school system and all of the amenities that make the city a fantastic place to call home. Margie has also made real estate a family tradition: Her husband, Lanny, a former musician and veteran of financial markets, became a managing broker associate in 2003, and the two were then joined in the business by their son, Tom, and daughter, Hannah.

“We are always available and in constant communication with our clients,” Margie says. “They appreciate our responsiveness, attention to detail, teamwork and dedication. We always answer the phone and are available to help.”

The team stays on top of market conditions and educates clients, guiding them through the process and connecting them with appropriate resources along the way. They develop trust with each client by managing expectations and having constructive conversations. “We appreciate that our business grows organically,” Lanny remarks. “We are proud to serve our clients and value their referrals.”

Outside of work, Margie and Lanny enjoy playing golf and love to ski.
