Jeff Gregory
Owner/Managing Broker Realty Executives Success
Chairman MRED
Like a chess player planning two or three moves ahead, Jeff Gregory tries to anticipate all the possible solutions for his clients before a problem arises. The owner and managing broker of Realty Executives Success, Gregory works with investors and corporate clients — but his true passion is helping first-time buyers. He helps them find sources of substantial down payment assistance programs within Will, Grundy and DuPage Counties.
In addition to averaging 60 closings per year, Gregory has grown his brokerage by 30 percent over the past year. He attributes this growth to referrals from his past clients and other Realtors in the industry. When asked about the key to his success, he attributed most of his success to his work ethic. “Sometimes I’m returning emails at 2 or 3 a.m. to get caught up, which is frequently a source of amusement for my clients and co-workers.”
Before he was fielding late-night inquiries from his valued clients, Gregory was the District Sales Manager for Mutual of Omaha, where he recruited, trained and managed both insurance and investment representatives. That experience shapes his approach as he transitioned to the real estate business. “I noticed that most real estate training was ‘classroom only’ training, and not actual ‘hands-on’ training. I firmly believe that most salespeople learn best by doing, and from someone who actually does what he is telling others to do.”
Gregory received his bachelor’s degree in public address and rhetoric from Manchester College in Indiana. Using that knowledge meaningfully and purposefully, he has emerged as a spokesman and trusted advisor throughout the real estate industry. He has served as the Chairman of the MRED Board of Managers for the last four years — longer than any of his predecessors — and volunteers as a member of several other real estate committees with NAR and Illinois Realtors.
When he isn’t working with clients or growing his brokerage, Gregory’s passion is politics. He works with Congressman Bill Foster as Federal Political Coordinator for NAR. But when asked about a future in politics, Gregory says “the view from my living room looks just fine.”
