When it comes to real estate, Sandesh Bilgi has done it all. As a veteran in the industry, he’s been a top producing real estate broker, managing broker, recruiter, training and business development director, and executive officer. A former Chicago Area Realtors Top 1 Percent Realtor, Bilgi has transitioned from conventional real estate of representing buyers and sellers to working for Realogy, the global leader in the industry with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. His role is to identify growth opportunities across the country through franchise membership for unaffiliated brokerages and mergers and acquisitions for existing affiliates. Bilgi also served as a real estate instructor teaching pre-license and CE courses. In the past year he’s helped over 3,000 current and soon-to-be brokers work to achieve their real estate goals.

All this is even more impressive when you consider that Bilgi didn’t initially set out to work in the real estate industry. He worked as a motivational speaker and sports psychology consultant, providing performance enhancement workshops and seminars for athletes. Despite always having an interest in real estate thanks to his father, an investor who used to take him on new construction visits, it was only when he got to trying to sell his own house that Bilgi really got his feet wet in the industry, and the rest, as they say, is history. “I took a real estate class simply to learn, and nearly two decades later I’m still in the business and having fun everyday,” he says.

If you met Bilgi, the fact that he used to work as a motivational speaker would come as no surprise. He’s energetic and charismatic, two invaluable qualities for anyone in the real estate business. When we ask Bilgi what has been the number one secret to his success, he simply answers, “My constant desire to help and challenge people. My daily goal is to make others around me better thus making me better.”

When he’s not working to build the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand, Bilgi continues to pursue his passion for athletics, as a Level 5 USA Certified Hockey coach who coaches youth hockey in Illinois.
