Harthside Realtors joins Century 21

by John Yellig

Harthside Realtors in Midlothian has affiliated with Century 21 Real Estate. It’s now doing business as CENTURY 21 Harthside Realtors.

The boutique brokerage has served Southwest Chicago and Northwest Indiana since it opened in 1970. Since 2000, the firm has been led by Leonard “Lenny” Feil, who obtained his real estate license in 1992 and went to work at Harthside. Before entering real estate, Feil worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years.

“Harthside has been in business since 1970, and the CENTURY 21 brand followed only one year later,” said Feil. “Both share one major theme that has helped us last these past 50 years, and that’s treating every client as family, not as a transaction. The human touch emphasized by the CENTURY 21 brand was an obvious attraction to me, and by affiliating with the brand, I’m confident that our company will continue to uphold our values and serve families for generations to come.”

With the added support of the CENTURY 21 brand, Feil hopes to use his extra bandwidth to spend more time pursuing high-level growth initiatives, including opening an office in Indiana, and helping his existing agents increase their productivity, the firm said in an announcement.

“To welcome a brokerage with a history that predates the CENTURY 21 brand is truly special,” said Mike Miedler, president and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate. “We understand that longevity like that doesn’t just happen, and instead, it takes a capable leadership team surrounded by a knowledgeable, committed group of agents. Lenny hasn’t slowed down since coming into ownership of Harthside, and we’re excited to welcome his ambition and capabilities to the CENTURY 21 network as he looks to push his company forward.”
