Rubina Bokhari Luxury launches client-directed philanthropy program Brokers Who Give Back

by John Yellig

The Rubina Bokhari Luxury Group at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty has launched Brokers Who Give Back, a charitable initiative that donates a portion of every sales commission to a local or global nonprofit chosen by the client.

While many Chicago agents and teams participate in charitable efforts, BWGB is the city’s only trademark-pending model that formally integrates client-directed giving into every transaction, Rubina Bokhari Luxury Group said.

The program is a continuation of a practice Bokhari started on a personal level in 2008, when she donated a portion of each commission to charity.

“Brokers Who Give Back is deeply personal to me,” Bokhari said. “It began quietly, with small acts of giving. Over time, I realized this wasn’t just something I did — it was something I wanted our team to stand for. Through BWGB, every home journey becomes an opportunity to support a cause that matters to the client, not just to us.”

Under BWGB, a portion of the team’s compensation from every sale is allocated for donation. Clients select a nonprofit of their choice, and the contribution is logged and shared.

To date, the program has donated more than $150,000 to over 50 nonprofit organizations that support a variety of causes, including housing access, immigrant support, food security, education, domestic-violence prevention and international humanitarian relief.

“Clients today want the decisions they make to reflect their values,” Bokhari said. “This model lets them do exactly that. Every time we help a family buy or sell a home, we get to pay it forward. It’s the part of the work that keeps us grounded, grateful and connected to something greater than the transaction.”
