Throughout the years, Chicago Title Insurance Company has grown in stature with a solid reputation for integrity. It was founded in Cook County in 1847 and expanded beyond the county limits in 1920. In the 1950s, Chicago Title reached beyond Illinois state borders and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Chicago Title and Trust Company. In March 2000, Chicago Title Insurance Company merged with FNF to become one of the largest title companies in the United States.
