What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Working as an event planner at 2941 Restaurant in Virginia, especially planning weddings. Talking to brides and preparing them for their most important day was such a rewarding experience. In a way, real estate feels very similar — you help people, guide them through a major life event, and in the end, it’s incredibly fulfilling to see them happy.
Where did you grow up?
Macedonia, a small country in Europe.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
I always wanted to help people. Making a difference in peoples lives has always been my passion.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I relax by meditating, binge-watching shows and spending time with my husband and kids. I also enjoy listening to podcasts like Mel Robbins and Jay Shetty. I take long walks to think and lift weights to get my energy back.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I’d want to meet someone who made a lasting impact in a positive way, like Oprah. Meeting her could be a powerful experience because of her incredible journey from humble beginnings to media mogul and philanthropist.
What is Chicago’s best-kept secret?
The charming suburban downtown areas.
What do you love most about the industry?
The opportunity to help people at such pivotal moments in their lives. It’s incredibly rewarding to guide them through a major transition, whether they’re buying their first home, selling a property they’ve outgrown or finding an investment. Every transaction is unique, and the ability to provide support and knowledge, while seeing clients’ dreams come true, is fulfilling. Plus, there’s always something new to learn, and every day presents a new challenge, which keeps things exciting!
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I come from the Balkans, where people are known for being warm, friendly and always ready to help others. That’s something I carry with me in everything I do. In real estate, it’s all about making real connections with people and helping them through one of the biggest decisions of their lives. I’m not just about closing deals — I’m about guiding my clients through the process, offering support and being there for them every step of the way. I tend to be their forever realtor because I make connections. Not all agents want or know how to do that.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Navigating the emotional roller coaster that comes with real estate. I’ve seen firsthand how buying or selling a home can bring up a lot of emotions — excitement, stress, even uncertainty. And I feel that with my clients. I want to make sure they feel supported, especially when things get tough. I take it personally when they’re feeling overwhelmed, because I know how important this decision is for them. It’s not just about the transaction for me; it’s about making sure they’re feeling confident and at ease every step of the way. It’s tough, but it’s also what makes my job so rewarding when I see them finally settle into their new home, happy and at peace.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Focus on finding your niche and go after it wholeheartedly. When you truly know who you’re serving and what makes you unique, you can connect with people who really resonate with you. But beyond that, always focus on building genuine relationships.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Selling $1.3 million in my first year as a Realtor. It’s something I’m really proud of because it shows how much I care about helping my clients and building real relationships with them. Another big accomplishment is balancing work and home life with my husband, who is also a Realtor. We’ve managed to keep everything running smoothly, supporting each other both personally and professionally, and making sure we give our best to our clients while also being there for each other at home.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
The Rookery Building is one of my favorites because of its unique blend of classic and modern design. The stunning atrium, with intricate ironwork and glass, showcases Frank Lloyd Wright’s innovative touch. It beautifully reflects Chicago’s architectural evolution and feels timeless yet ahead of its time.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Nothing super weird so far. Once I showed a home where the seller insisted on being present during the entire tour. Not only did they follow us around, but they also started giving their personal opinions about every single room. Awkward.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I’m a theater kid, and I take singing lessons. It’s something I’ve always loved, and it’s a fun way to express myself outside of real estate. It’s actually taught me a lot about confidence, presentation and connecting with an audience, which surprisingly comes in handy when working with clients!
