Who’s who — yes, I’m keeping track

by Agent X

At the DNC’s official media party, I was handed a signature, Democrat-blue cocktail before even stepping through security. Seriously, I was double-fisting my way through the metal detectors. Talk about getting in the patriotic spirit.  I was just happy that gossip columnists were included on the invite list of esteemed reporters.

Naturally, the DNC was the city’s main event last month. But those in Chicago real estate know that late August always begins another major affair: the release of Who’s Who in Chicagoland Residential Real Estate. Of course, I have my own personal list. But it’s always nice to see who you all deem as the biggest industry influencers.

This year’s cover features familiar faces like Joel Schaub (who was sitting just a few rows from me at “The Daily Show” last month), Chloe Ifergan and Michael LaFido — if you know, you know.

Many of you mingled recently, too, at CAR’s Summer Soiree on Aug. 14. The networking party at Joy District in River North was fun and full of light bites, libations and live music.

Now for some juicier info. On Aug. 9, Callie Simon of COMPASS got married in Maryland — do you think I made the guest list? All I can say is the East Coast celebrations looked straight out of “Vogue” and included a late-night jump into the pool by the bridal party. How cute. Though we all know it was Callie’s big day, it was friend and managing broker Joe Siciliano who stole the show! I definitely saw him singing on stage with the band. Anyways, congrats to the Flashenbergs! And congrats to Michael Shenfeld, too, for whom wedding bells are also on the way.

In the meantime, though, there’s plenty more to party about. Do not be demure and do not be mindful (I never am) when it comes to celebrating these many September babies. Summer may be over, but, as we agents know, the festivities never stop. On to the birthdays:

On Sept. 6 we have Ivona Kutermankiewcz, followed by Tariq “TK” Khwaja on Sept. 8 and b-day triplets Larry Steinway, Bob Floss and Dustin Schaff on Sept. 9, not to be outdone by b-day quadruplets Sara Hulsebus, Reno Manuele, Cory Robertson and Dan Gjeldum on Sept. 12. And don’t even think about slowing down, because then, on Sept. 13, we’re celebrating Paulette Rodriguez. Two days later, on Sept. 15, Michael Cozzi turns a year older, followed by Mo Dadkhah and Lori Wyatt on Sept. 16. Then, on Sept. 18, more b-day triplets: Teresa Ryan, Evelyn Fred and Julie Harron! Our very own Anne Hartnett celebrates on Sept. 19. On Sept. 20, we have CAR legend Jessica Kern and Bill Knapp, and, finally, Ian Schwartz comes in on Sept. 23. And let’s throw the first October birthday in, why not? Natalie Carpenter on Oct. 1!
