Since its founding in 1847, Chicago Title Insurance Company has grown in stature and stood the test of time. In 1920, the company extended business beyond Cook County and, in the 1950s, beyond the borders of Illinois.

That’s when Chicago Title Insurance Company was developed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Chicago Title and Trust Company. In 2000, Chicago Title Insurance Company merged with FNF to become one of the largest title companies in the nation.

Though much has changed after more than a century of business, the company’s fundamental principles are steadfast: customer service, integrity and an enduring identity that’s synonymous with expertise. The goal is to insure everyone’s most prized asset: their home.
