Rick Sobin is vice president of brokerage services and designated managing broker for @properties Christie’s International Real Estate’s East Lincoln Park, Gold Coast and Bronzeville offices. There, he is responsible for brokerage operations, coaching, training, recruiting and retention. 

Prior to real estate, Sobin managed camera departments in Hollywood, working on famous films like “The Usual Suspects,” “JFK” and “Road to Perdition.” The experience taught Sobin how to bring together diverse teams of people, all working under pressure to produce major results. 

He’s now been in real estate for 18 years and, during that time, has learned to help agents tap into their own unique strengths. Sobin supports them through active listening and open communication — plus a healthy dose of encouragement and empathy. 

During his time at the firm’s East Lincoln Park office, it’s become one of the company’s top two grossing offices in Chicagoland, generating nearly $2 billion in closed annual sales volume. Meanwhile, the Gold Coast office produces over $1.1 billion in annual sales.
