Looking at metrics like housing affordability, demographics and local retail, restaurant and entertainment options, the storage site considered the 97 largest suburbs in Illinois to determine the top 10:

5. Bloomingdale
6. Lake Forest
7. Libertyville

9. La Grange
10. Schaumburg
Coming in at No. 1, Vernon Hills took the top spot in terms of lifestyle amenities thanks to so many local businesses. There are over six stores and three restaurants per 1,000 residents in Vernon Hills. The area is also easily accessible to Chicago through the Metra train line.
