A licensed Realtor since 2004, Bernadette Kettwig has over 20 years of real estate experience. She is now the managing broker of three Compass offices in Chicago and Oak Park. Before that, she was a top producer, and that sales experience set her up for success in her current role.

A lifelong resident of Chicago, Kettwig is a first-generation Polish-American, fluent in the Polish language. Her European upbringing taught her the value of a dollar early on and shaped her approach to the residential brokerage. She understands firsthand the sense of accomplishment that comes with achieving “the American dream” of homeownership.

In treating every transaction as if it were her own, Kettwig has fostered long-lasting relationships with buyers and sellers — many of whom are now lifelong friends. She utilizes those interpersonal and professional skills, coupled with her corporate finance background, to support her agents in running their own businesses like CEOs with purpose and integrity.

Prior to real estate, Kettwig spent eight years as an assistant vice president at a Chicago-based mutual fund company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and management from Indiana University, with an emphasis in finance and economics.

Kettwig lives in Lakeview with her husband, Jeff, and two children, Jacob and Claudia. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and taking advantage of the city’s attractions and lakefront.
