Del Webb to open active-adult community in Aurora

by Emily Mack

Del Webb, a national homebuilder within the Pulte Homes network, has announced the development of a new active-adult community in Aurora, Ill.: Lincoln Prairie. Located at the junction of Eola Road and Wolf Crossing Road, the project marks the first Del Webb community in the Chicago area in over 15 years.

Lincoln Prairie will feature ranch homes from Del Webb’s GenYou collection. With floor plans that include large kitchen islands, tall sliding glass doors and large owner’s suites, the style specifically caters to the evolving needs of active seniors. Six model homes will debut at a grand opening for Lincoln Prairie this fall.

The community also boasts a 16,000-square-foot clubhouse equipped to be equipped with various social rooms and athletic amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, a tennis court, bocce ball court, pickleball court, fitness center and billiards room. Additionally, a full-time lifestyle director will remain on site to curate a full roster of activities for the Lincoln Prairie homeowners.

“We are thrilled to offer the signature home designs, amenities, and lifestyle that Del Webb is known for at a brand-new community,” said John Hudson, the Illinois division vice president of sales for PulteGroup, Inc. “There is already a lot of excitement and interest, especially among local 55-plus buyers who are looking to experience the next stage of life at an active-adult community, without having to move away from family in the Chicagoland area.”
