Life in a museum

by Chicago Agent

Art collector Nancy Magoon built this contemporary mansion to display her massive art collection, but now it’s up for grabs for $16.9 million. Located in Aspen, Colorado, the three-story home sits on 4.5 acres of land and is surrounded by botanical gardens, a stream, stone pathways, two architectural bridges, a sculpture garden and beautiful views of the Elk Mountains. The 10,000-square-foot, 7-bedroom, 7-bathroom home features gallery walls, as well as a gym, office and rec room. The art collection isn’t factored into the price of the home, but Magoon said she’s willing to make a deal to leave some art behind. Photo: Michael Hefferon/ Estate Photos
