Growing up, what did you want to be?
When I was a little girl it was such a dream of mine to be a news broadcaster on Channel 7 ABC News. I would sit in front of the TV, lay my books out in front of me and use my plastic cup as a microphone.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I practice yoga regularly, which always relaxes me and offers so many other benefits. I love to walk outside too, but most importantly I strive to spend time with my two daughters and husband. Our days inside our home together relaxing always make for the best memories.

What do you love most about the industry?
Our industry and local markets are constantly changing and I love that I always have to be on my toes. The most important part of real estate is the ability to build relationships and help my clients transition into the next chapter of their lives. The majority of my clients become life-long friends and will use me again in the future. It is absolutely the most humbling reward to have their trust in one of the most emotional transactions they will ever go through.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
Kindness: We need more of it!

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
I do not think many people realize how many links have to connect to get to the closing table and facilitate a successful deal. It is always great when you are working with your trusted team, but there are so many things that can happen and cause a deal to fall apart, which really is terrible for all parties. I always try my best to stay in contact with all parties during the transaction to keep the avenues of communication open.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Professionally my greatest accomplishment has been the ability to grow as a small business owner over the years in a highly competitive industry. My prized personal accomplishment would have to be my two daughters. They are kind, caring and thoughtful. Can a mother ask for anything more?

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
The last good movie which really kept me on the edge of my seat would have to be “A Star is Born.” The greatest book I ever read would have to be “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy. I highly recommend it to all.

What is your favorite restaurant?
I have to say Gibson’s is my all-time favorite. I love that no matter what I order to eat or drink it is always great. It has such an awesome feeling in the dining area!

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
My favorite building is the Chicago Tribune building. I love that you can see the Chicago River and Michigan Avenue right from the front door. It has so much history and is a Chicago landmark in the Gothic Revival style. It’s complete masterpiece.

What kind of car do you drive?
I drive an Audi Q7 and it is my mobile office and mom mobile. I love it!

Smartphone or paper?
I do have paper with me on showings but overall, paperless is my preference. It feels clean and less cluttered to me.

What is your favorite city after Chicago?
My favorite city next to Chicago would have to be San Diego. I love California weather, sunshine and the ocean. It is such a beautiful area and I wish I could visit more.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Work hard, be honest and have patience all the way.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app?
The Sentrilock application is my favorite app. I love the progress they have made in making lockboxes safer for real estate and how user-friendly it is for real estate professionals.
