Mini-me

by Chicago Agent

After initially listing a family owned property on Chicago’s Chain O’Lakes for $2.2 million, the Appleton family of McHenry decided to auction off the property. Built in the 1920s, the Colonial-style home includes 213 feet of lake frontage, a 6,000-square-foot house, a coach house, a tennis court, formal gardens and a children’s playhouse modeled after the main house. After owning the property for 70 years, the Appleton family auctioned off the property for $850,000 on Sept. 12 through North Carolina-based Interluxe.
