CONLON/Christie’s International Real Estate has hired a local technology entrepreneur to lead its digital and social media marketing programs.

Keisha Howard, 30, joined CONLON/Christie’s as its broker services manager.

In this role, she will be individually consulting CONLON/Christie’s brokers on their personal brand management and social media strategy to help them improve their business. This will help the company as a whole improve connections with their real estate clients and affiliates while expanding CONLON/Christie’s online footprint and promoting its proprietary Web tools.

“CONLON/Christie’s has a strong web presence but we believe that hiring Keisha will bring us and our agents to the next level, and help us reach and better serve a greater number of clients,” CONLON/Christie’s CEO Benjie Buford says. “She’s a terrific talent and we’re thrilled to have her on our team.”

Howard, a Chicago native, comes to CONLON/Christie’s with a unique resume that includes stints in tech and real estate.

She’s the founder of Sugar Gamers, an online organization for women who love video games, comic books and other “geek” culture, and has been profiled by numerous online and print publications.

She also has worked as a real estate broker for the Chicago Property Exchange and developer Fordham Co.

“I’m excited to be working with CONLON/Christie’s as they expand their digital communications with clients and brokers,” Howard says. “One of our goals is to
encourage brand loyalty. And to highlight the personality and work ethic of their brokers is an exciting opportunity and one that I feel incredibly passionate about.”

Howard says she was persuaded to join CONLON/Christie’s after meeting Sean Conlon, the firm’s founder. CONLON immigrated to Chicago from his native Ireland, starting out as a janitor and becoming one of the city’s top brokers and later the country’s most successful real estate entrepreneurs.

“I was inspired to pursue my own dreams and passions with the same work ethic and enthusiasm as Sean,” Howard says. “Working for a company that supports your hard work and creativity is a dream come true.”

Founded in 2009, Chicago-based CONLON has quickly become one of the city’s leading real estate firms with about 200 agents and offices in the West Loop, Lincoln Park, Roscoe Village, Hinsdale and (soon) Winnetka.Since June 2013, it has been the exclusive local affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, bringing a more national and global reach to CONLON so they may better serve their clients.
