Thaddeus Wong and Michael Golden, co-founders of Chicago real estate brokerage @properties, has named Kevin Van Eck to the role of director of agent development in a press release.

Van Eck will step up to his new position, formerly serving as a licensed real estate salesperson for the brokerage.

He joined the brokerage in 2008, and has since become an @properties and Chicago Association of Realtors top producer from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to his real estate experience with @properties, Van Eck will take his years spent in management in the restaurant industry and his experience in the United States Army and Army Reserve to his new position.

“In his new role, he will be responsible for the creation and implementation of educational, training and business-development initiatives for @properties’ more than 1,100 brokers in the city and suburbs,” according the press release.

Both Wong and Golden feel confident about Van Eck undertaking this role.

“Kevin has dedicated his career to client service, making him a natural fit for this position,” said Wong. “He will be instrumental in the ongoing development of our agents and the company as a whole.”

Golden shared the same sentiment saying, “Kevin is approachable and organized, and very skilled when it comes to building and maintaining relationships. He also knows what it takes to be a top producer in the industry. All of these qualities will make him a great advisor and resource to our agents.”
