Realtor University Appoints Chairman of the Board

by Chicago Agent

REALTOR University named a new Chairman of the Board today.

Realtor University, a new online institution offering a Master of Real Estate, has named Richard J. Rosenthal its first Chairman of the Board of Regents.

Rosenthal, a former president of the California Association of Realtors, previously served as chair of the panel that strategized Realtor University’s initial development. He has also worked with the National Association of Realtors as a regional vice president, a member of the Extended Leadership Team, and a member of the Board of Directors. Nine others will join him on the Board of Regents at Realtor University to oversee university procedures and finances.

The institution plans to offer a 12-course Master of Real Estate (MRE) program taught online by Ph.D.-level faculty. Each course will count as three credit hours, and classes are scheduled to begin in the spring of 2012.

Realtor University is currently seeking authorization from the Illinois Board of Higher Education to operate and grant degrees and will soon seek accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Enrollment will be open to anyone who meets university requirements and is looking to further their real estate education.
