Koenig & Strey Launches QR Code Program

by Chicago Agent

Chicagoland real estate brokerage Koenig & Strey Real Living today announced an industry-leading program to use Quick Response (QR) Codes for marketing all of their listed properties. The ability to connect mobile users to a website immediately makes two-dimensional bar codes an increasingly popular tool among advertisers, including those in the real estate industry.

Koenig & Strey is the first brokerage in the Chicagoland area to make the commitment to have QR codes for all listings. Mark Pullinger, Koenig & Strey Vice President of Marketing Media and Technology made the announcement. “Mobile technology is a key part of our advertising strategy, and QR codes are a highly visible way to attract mobile device users,” said Pullinger. “It just makes sense. While they are standing in front of the property, a consumer can scan the code from the sign and have all of the details on their smart phone right away.”

Pullinger noted that progressive and tech-savvy agents were early adopters of QR codes in their property marketing, and their success inspired Koenig & Strey to make the investment in this marketing initiative. QR codes will be part of the Koenig & Strey standard marketing program, which means there is no additional out of pocket cost to the agent or to the seller for this benefit. The company plans to introduce programs that will leverage QR codes on signs, brochures and in ads.
