AT A GLANCE
Nantucket, once an important whaling port, has been named a National Historic District and has architecturally changed very little since the 17th century, as seaside cottages and old-fashioned lamps still line its streets. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the clear, sparkling waters of Nantucket Sound on the north shore, and the more adventurous play in the Atlantic along the island’s south shore. Nantucket’s island-style way of life is filled with history, natural beauty, culture, world-class dining and shopping. However, the relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect destination year-round.
A new option for travelers to Nantucket, Mass., has emerged with the creation of 10 waterfront vacation homes offering a combination of scenic views and access to the heart of the town. Harborview Place gives Nantucket vacationers an opportunity to own luxury waterfront property. Harborview Place owners have a professional staff at their disposal for completely personalized, five-star service, along with a real estate purchase that is free from the usual financial and maintenance burdens of traditional ownership. Club amenities will include a private owners’ lounge, beach services and activities, access to boats and airport and ferry transfers.
Harborview’s residence club structure provides fractional ownership where owners will have a deeded share of their residence with flexible availability. The Residence Club ownership starts at $495,000. Some owners may choose to purchase a bundled fractional, which provides ownership and exclusive use of a home with the ability to sell some or all of the fractions at a future date. Whole ownership is also available from $2,200,000.
The project is contributing to the revitalization of a previously overlooked area with 10 unique residences. Created by one of Nantucket’s leading architects, Harborview’s design includes a variety of green elements such as formaldehyde-free cabinetry, eco-friendly paint and flooring, extensive use of recycled materials and energy-efficient appliances. The development is making an effort to retain the historic elements of Nantucket in the project. Architectural firm workshop/apd designed these homes to blend modern sensibilities with the classic cottage architecture of Nantucket.
