@properties, the largest independently-owned residential brokerage firm in the city, has opened a commercial brokerage division to serve an expanding client base, announced company co-founders Michael Golden and Thaddeus Wong. Golden and Wong have appointed current @properties broker, Pamela Tilton, managing broker of the commercial division.

The company will offer sales, leasing and investment-advisory services in a variety of commercial property categories including single- and multi-tenant retail, industrial and office buildings, land and multi-family. The division, which currently has about two dozen agents, will operate from @properties’ four existing offices in River North, Lincoln Park, Streeterville and Lakeview.

According to Wong, the move into commercial brokerage is client-driven. Golden and Wong say they plan to grow their commercial division through aggressive marketing and recruiting.
