The board of directors for the Chicago Association of Realtors has inducted two new members into its hall of fame. Joel M. Carlins, Founder and President of Magellan Development Group and William B. Kaplan, chairman and CEO of Senior Lifestyle Corp. (SLC), will be honored for their achievements at the Chicago Association of Realtors 124th Inaugural Gala.

In addition to his work as a developer, Joel M. Carlins has represented architects, contractors and related professionals as an attorney. He is also licensed to practice law in several states. He is a member of the Illinois, American, Federal and Virgin Island Bar Associations, and holds a Juris Doctor of Law degree from DePaul University as well as a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois.

William B. Kaplan has served the senior citizen community both professionally and charitably. Together with James B. Klutznick, he founded the SLC in 1985 to pursue senior housing activities, and in 1993, Kaplan launched the Senior Suites Chicago Corporation to create affordable, independent housing opportunities for seniors in our city.
