Vol. 4, Iss. 15, Good Deeds: Realtors Tee Off for Homelessness Prevention

Dozens of golfers took to the links in support of the Chicago-based Emergency Fund on June 29. The Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) donated the proceeds of its Centennial Golf Classic to the social service organization, which aims to prevent homelessness. The Emergency Fund provides flexible, financial assistance to people facing a crisis or transition. Illinois Secretary of State Jessie White attended, along with the Jessie White Tumblers. The classic raised $6,500 for the Emergency Fund. This is the third year that CAR has donated the proceeds of its annual golf outing to the organization.
