Dan Gjeldum started in the industry 16 years ago, at a small privately owned mortgage bank. “It was a friend of a friend connection where I was going to go sell these ‘things called mortgages’, and I had no idea what it entailed. Soon after I started, I knew this was my career,” said Gjeldum. Today, he works at Mortgage Services III, LLC. (MSI), where he was recently ranked No. 122 in America for Mortgage Originators in 2010. The company’s recent approval as a HomePath lender enables them to finance Fannie Mae owner properties with as little as 3 percent down, and the company is now set on becoming approved by Ginnie Mae to securitize its own FHA bonds. Individually, Gjeldum aims to continue to serve past and current clients in a professional manner, as well as build his database of Realtors and financial planners. When not at work, he is grateful for down time with his four children and wife. “To say that I am passionate about them is an understatement – everything I do in life and my career is to provide the best life possible for those five people.”
