What was your first job in the realty industry? I began my real estate career at Century 21 S.G.R. on Lincoln Avenue (in Chicago). I worked with Nancy Suvarnamani, the former president of CAR.

Where did you grow up? I was born in Iowa and grew up in west-central Illinois.

What is your favorite free-time activity? Photography.

If you weren’t a Realtor, what would you be? I would own a bed and breakfast. I love entertaining, cooking and gardening, and I enjoy working with people.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be? Barack Obama.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? The beach!

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I specialize in selling high-end lakefront properties in Rogers Park.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Everywhere!

What do you love most about the industry? Freedom.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Bicycling is my favorite hobby. It relaxes me and gives me an opportunity to check out the housing stock in various neighborhoods.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? The Station Agent.

What is your favorite city after Chicago? New York City.

What is your favorite restaurant? Hopleaf.

What kind of car do you drive? Lexus RX400 Hybrid.
