Wendi Traxler, Vice President of Mortgage Lending

Rate, NMLS # 143394

Upon graduating from Western Michigan University, Wendi Traxler was hired as an account manager for a mortgage company. Shortly thereafter, she acquired a promotion to mortgage specialist and became the district’s top producer within the first year. After 30 years of experience, she holds the title of vice president of mortgage lending at Rate and fondly looks back on her successful career. She reflects on how she discovered a deep passion for helping families achieve their dreams of homeownership — and how since that first day as a mortgage specialist, she hasn’t looked back.

Described by clients as patient, proactive and prepared, Traxler is relentless in her drive to find solutions. During difficult times in a mortgage industry, rather than being complacent, she opted to advance her professional expertise and enhance her abilities to better serve her community of potential homeowners. “I dedicated myself to entice business partners and their growth, while continuing to learn about new products that better serve a wider range of markets throughout Midwestern states,” she says. “Investing in education and professional development has positioned me to better serve homeownership and referral partners alike. Now I have a stronger sense of adaptation to ever-changing market conditions.”

Traxler was named strategic partner of the year by Women’s Council of Realtors, Southwestern, in 2022, and she remains active today in mortgages, as well as the real estate aspect of the business. She serves the community through nonprofits that provide food and shelter while spending free time traveling and enjoying the outdoors.
