A fourth-generation resident of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, John O’Laughlin leads The O Team at Compass, specializing in luxury and vacation properties in Abbey Springs, Lake Geneva and Walworth County. Born and raised in Lake Geneva, he graduated from Badger High School in 1997 before attending the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Prior to entering real estate, O’Laughlin honed his communication and management skills as an assistant PGA golf professional and later as a successful retail business owner and restaurant manager.

In his approach to real estate, O’Laughlin emphasizes a client-centered process, beginning with a thorough discussion to identify each client’s unique needs and preferences. Known for his personable demeanor and strategic negotiation skills, he guides clients smoothly through each transaction. Outside of real estate, O’Laughlin enjoys spending time with his two children, Aiden and Ainslie, who represent the fifth generation of his family in Lake Geneva.
