Wade Marshall, Advisor

Engel & Völkers Chicago

After a long career in sales and marketing, Wade Marshall followed his passion for architecture and renovations of older homes, condos and co-ops. He purchased a condo in a pre-war building that he then fully renovated as his new home. “I moved into real estate with my main interest being related to the design and renovation element,” Marshall explains. “I love helping others see the potential in spaces and reimagining them.”

A real estate advisor with Engel & Völkers Chicago, Marshall is a broker who specializes in luxury single-family homes, pre-war high-rise condos and co-ops, as well as renovation opportunities throughout East Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Gold Coast and Andersonville. In the industry for 19 years, he moved to the area in 1990 and currently resides in East Lakeview. Always professional and direct, he is known for having a calm demeanor, which helps clients through what can be a very emotional experience. “Having a professional acumen from my corporate experience enables me to navigate all experiences with my clients with the utmost professionalism, calmness and confidence.”

A member of the LGTBQ+ Real Estate Alliance, Marshall recently organized and created the programming for his company’s annual Pride Summit, where they host colleagues locally and nationally for an opportunity to learn, grow and share topics related to the LGTBQIA+ community. The recipient of numerous awards, he focuses on continuing to grow his business and navigate his high-net-worth clients’ needs. “Mindset is key,” he points out. “It’s not about me, my schedule or my workload. It’s about being in the moment for the person in front of me.”

With a passion for cooking and entertaining, Marshall enjoys hosting large parties and small dinner get-togethers, where he prepares all the food and with his husband and creates a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. “I generally approach life, work and relationships as though I’m hosting people,” he shares. “I want to create a space where people feel welcomed and open to express themselves as they see fit without judgment.”
